Move Every Call. Lose Nothing.
20+ source platforms. One destination.
WHY COMPANIES DON'T BUILD THIS THEMSELVES
It's a data transfer. Just not a simple one.
Three places where "we'll do this ourselves" becomes a problem.
Two APIs to learn
Each source platform exposes its own API, with its own auth model, rate limits, quirks, and undocumented edge cases — on top of Gong's own ingestion API. Two complete integrations to design, build, and maintain.
The expiring-URL clock
Recording links from your source platform almost always expire within hours. The window between extracting a call and landing it in Gong has to be tightly orchestrated — miss it, and you have to start the process over from scratch.
Speaker data complexity
Speaker separation is a time-stamped record of every word each participant spoke, reassembled from data the source platform stores in pieces. Get it wrong and talk ratios, coaching insights, and attribution all break.
Most teams who try to build this themselves underestimate it, understaff it, and abandon it. We've already done it — you skip the risk and inherit the result.
OUR APPROACH
A Pipeline, Not a One-Off Build
The same four-phase process, refined across more than a million calls migrated. Most engagements complete in about two weeks.
Kick Off
Confirm data availability and access. Walk through end-to-end data flow and shared responsibilities. Agree on process, timeline, and deliverables.
Prepare Data
Customer provides API token. We extract data from the source system and profile it through our analysis app. We present a call readout, confirm migration numbers, and adjust Gong user settings as needed.
Transform Data
We compress files over 1.5GB, build import-ready test and full migration files, run a 20–30 call test migration, and review results with you before going wider.
Load Calls
Calls move into Gong via our data pipeline. We review the post-load readout with you, run any incremental loads needed, and delete all source data on project acceptance.
Most migrations complete in about two weeks, end to end.
OUTCOME-DRIVEN, NOT LABOR-DRIVEN
How Migration Pricing Works
Migration pricing is directionally based on call volume — but it isn't a linear equation. Migrating 10,000 calls isn't twice the work of migrating 5,000. There's a fixed cost involved in any migration project regardless of volume, and the more calls you migrate, the flatter the cost curve gets. Some source systems are also more involved than others — they have nuances and complexities that affect the shape of the curve.
There's a floor, not a starting line
Every migration carries fixed engineering overhead: pipeline setup, source-system authentication, schema mapping, and validation infrastructure. That cost exists whether you're moving 5,000 calls or 50,000.
Per-call cost drops as volume grows
Once the pipeline is running, additional calls flow through it at a fraction of the marginal cost. Larger migrations cost meaningfully less per call than small ones.
System complexity bends the curve
Some source platforms expose clean APIs with rich speaker data. Others require workarounds, screen emulation, or custom transformation logic. We tell you up front which side of that line your source falls on.
In practice, here's what migrations typically look like:
- •Migrations of 1,000 to 5,000 calls are rarely more than $5,000.
- •Migrations of 50,000 to 70,000+ calls are rarely more than $20,000.
Most engagements land somewhere between. Final pricing depends on source system complexity, data volume, and validation requirements — confirmed up front, before any work begins.
All migrations require an active Gong license at the destination.
QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Common questions about call migration
Ready to move your calls?
We'll scope your migration in a 30-minute call. You'll walk away with a fixed price, a fixed timeline, and a clear picture of what your source system can and can't give us.
